An extra small dog bed (XS) from Dog's Companion measures 55 × 45 cm and is designed for very small dogs such as Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Yorkshire Terriers and Papillons. This compact size is also suitable for cats.

The inner cushion contains approximately 25 litres of flexible EPS beads, which move and adjust to your pet's body and sleeping position. The filling is refillable, allowing you to adjust the height and firmness of the bed.

Each XS dog bed has a fully removable outer cover, available in a wide range of fabrics, colours and patterns. Most covers are machine washable, except for faux leather, which should be wiped clean.

What makes up an Extra Small dog bed?

Each XS dog bed consists of two separate parts: an inner cushion filled with EPS beads and a removable outer cover.

1. Inner cushion with approximately 25 litres of EPS beads

The inner cushion contains small, round EPS beads measuring approximately 3 to 4 mm.

When your dog lies down, the beads move individually and redistribute around its body. As your dog changes position, the filling moves again to follow its new resting posture.

The EPS filling can be topped up after prolonged use. You can also remove some beads if the cushion feels too high or too firm.

2. Removable outer cover

The outer cover protects the inner cushion and determines the bed's appearance.

You can choose from different materials, colours and patterns to suit your home and your dog's daily routine.

Most fabric covers can be washed in the washing machine, following their individual care instructions. Faux leather covers should be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Replacement covers are available separately, so you can change the look of your dog's bed without replacing the entire cushion.

A washable Extra Small dog bed

The XS dog bed has a removable outer cover that can be taken off for cleaning.

Most fabric covers are machine washable, but the correct washing temperature depends on the material. Always check the care label inside the zip.

Faux leather covers are not machine washable and should be cleaned with a damp cloth.

The inner cushion can also be cleaned with water without removing the EPS beads. Allow it to dry completely before putting the outer cover back on.

Because replacement covers are available, you can keep using the inner cushion when you want to refresh the bed's appearance.

Adjusting the firmness of your XS dog bed

An EPS-filled dog bed feels different from a cushion made with fixed foam.

The beads move when your dog lies down, allowing the cushion to form around its body.

Does the bed feel too high or too firm? Remove a small quantity of EPS beads through the inner cushion's zip. Store the unused beads securely in a sealed bag.
