    Leather look dog beds: the modern, wipe-clean option

    A leather dog bed suits a certain kind of room: wooden floors, clean lines, a sofa without much pattern. Our leather look beds are made for exactly that. The cover is a faux leather that looks and feels like the real thing, supple and soft to the touch, and it wipes clean with a damp cloth: muddy paws, drool and the odd accident are gone in a minute. Underneath is the same bed as every Dog's Companion dog bed, an inner cushion filled with EPS beads that moulds to the way your dog lies, reinforced seams and a sturdy zip, made in our own workshop in the Netherlands. Five colours, five sizes from Extra Small to Superlarge / XXL, and an extra cover in the same finish when you want a spare.

    Which leather look dog bed?

    Five colours, all in the same faux leather: chocolate brown for a warm, classic room, ivory for a light interior, taupe when you want it to disappear into the floor, mouse grey for a Scandinavian scheme and black for the minimalist. Every colour comes in five sizes: Extra Small (55 × 45 cm), Small (70 × 50 cm), Medium (90 × 70 cm), Large (115 × 85 cm) and Superlarge / XXL (140 × 95 cm). Not sure about the shade?     A leather dog bed that belongs in the living room

    Most "leather" dog beds are shiny, stiff and clearly plastic. Ours are chosen to look like upholstery: a matte grain, a soft hand, colours taken from furniture rather than from pet shops. Put the chocolate brown next to a tan leather sofa and it reads as part of the set; put the black in a white kitchen and it reads as intentional. If you want to change the look later, the same inner cushion takes any of our extra covers, from giant corduroy to velvet. Leather look in the hall, corduroy in the bedroom: one bed, two lives.

    Frequently asked questions about leather look dog beds

    Is it real leather?

    No. It is a faux leather with the look and feel of leather, without animal hide. That is what makes it wipe-clean, supple and affordable, and why we call it leather look rather than leather.

    How do I clean a leather look dog bed?

    Day to day, wipe it with a damp cloth. For more than that, the cover zips off; follow the care label on the inside of the cover. The inner cushion does not absorb water and can be washed by hand with a mild detergent, rinsed thoroughly and dried completely, turning it now and then.

    Will my dog's claws damage it?

    Faux leather is hard-wearing, but it is not claw-proof. A dog that circles and digs before lying down will mark the surface over the years, as with any leather sofa. For a determined digger we recommend giant corduroy or canvas cotton instead; for everyone else the leather look lasts for years.

    Is a leather look bed good for dogs that shed or come home wet?

    Yes, it is the easiest bed for exactly that. Hair does not work its way into the surface, wet paws wipe off, and the bed looks clean between washes far longer than a fabric cover.

    Which size do I need?

    Measure your dog lying down, from nose to the base of the tail, and add about 20 cm. If in doubt, take the larger size: too much room has never bothered a dog. Our size guide lists all five sizes with the breeds that fit them.

    Can I use it outdoors?

    On a terrace or in the car, yes, and it wipes clean afterwards. For a bed that stays outside on wet days, our water- and dirt-repellent outdoor dog beds are the better choice.

    Will it fit my interior?

    That is the idea. The five shades are furniture colours, not pet-shop colours, chosen to sit next to leather sofas, wooden floors and modern kitchens. Free samples let you check the shade at home before you order.

    How do I order, and how fast is delivery?

    Order securely online and pay by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or wire transfer. Orders placed on weekdays before 14:30 are dispatched the same day from our workshop in the Netherlands, with DHL or DPD, typically within 1 to 4 working days across most of Europe.
